These are some the questions potential clients have asked me, and some I wish they would have asked:
Q. Do I have to be a vegan to work with you?
A. No, you do not have to be a vegan to work with me. I work with all types of eaters and want you to find what is best for you.
- However, if you are a committed low-carber, Atkins, Paleo, Weston Price, or Gary Taubes follower, you should probably find a non-vegan health coach as I cannot advise you on a meat-heavy diet or recipes.
- In addition, if you are coming to me with high cholesterol, heart disease, diabetes or cancer, you need to be at least open to the idea of working towards a more plant-based diet as part of your disease treatment.
Q. What kind of dietary dogma do you follow? McDougall (Low-Fat), Fuhrman (Eat to Live), 80-10-10, Raw, Macrobiotic, etc etc?
A. I don’t follow any dietary dogma within veganism. I don’t believe in “clean eating”, diets, fads or rigid dogmas. Most of the time I see those extremely limited diets ending in failure. Every one of us is different and can adapt parts of different plans to suit our own individual needs and preferences. I help my clients create their own plans that uniquely suit them for life.
Q. Where are you located? How do I work with you?
A. I am an American living in Israel. I work with English-speaking clients in Israel in Kfar Saba, or via phone or Skype. I work with International clients all over the world via Skype, FaceTime, or phone (US clients).
Q. I see the initial payment is in US Dollars, do you accept Israelis shekels?
A. Yes I do. When you pay, I believe you will have the option to pay in NIS. If not, email me with the time you have chosen and I will invoice you separately. Follow up payments can be made by personal check from an Israeli bank or NIS cash.
Q. Do you work in Hebrew?
A. As of 2015, I am still only working in English. I do speak Hebrew, but not enough to be an effective coach and all of my materials are in English.
Q. Do you work with children?
A. No, I do not work with children under the age of 18, but I DO work with their parents. Your minor child is not the one buying or preparing the food. You, the parents, are the ones I need to work with! If after we speak, you still feel I need to meet with your child directly, you can bring him or her to one of our sessions.
Q. I am afraid to spend MORE money on yet another weight loss or health program because nothing has ever stuck before and I am afraid this will just be one more waste of money.
A. I hear you and I understand completely. I too have spent a small fortune on diet plans, books, nutritionists, online programs. Each was going to be “The One”. Then one lucky day I hired my health coach and I changed my life forever. I wish I could tell you the same will happen for you, but there are no guarantees here. You need to be ready to make some changes. I know that’s scary, but I promise you I will meet you exactly where you are and assist you in moving forward at a pace and direction that makes you feel accomplished and excited. During our free intro session, we will determine together if you are in a place to succeed at this. I won’t push you into something that either of us feel you are not ready for.
Q. I just don’t have the money to spend on this.
A. Not a question really, but I wanted to mention it because women say it all the time. If this was one of your children or your best friend who had the problem you do, you would probably spend whatever it took to help them out, right? Why is it so hard to spend the same money on ourselves? You deserve to reach your goals and you deserve to have help reaching them, just like everyone else.
In addition, you will end up saving SO much money on food in my program! You will get organized with food planning, eat out much less, buy only what you need, move to cheaper foods like grains and beans, etc. That said, if you are really struggling to make ends meet but know working with me is 100% right for you, send me an email at Emily@TriumphWellness.com and I will see if I can’t help you figure out a way to pay for my program.
Q. If I do a program with you am I going to have to spend my life in the kitchen.
A. You are going to have to cook, yes. That is the biggest part of what I teach – cooking your own food. However, I also teach you how to menu plan, batch cook and get in and out as quickly as possible. The rest of your time that you are not cooking will be spent enjoying your gorgeous, healthy body!
Q. Am I going to have to eat food that I hate.
A. No, never. That is not sustainable. You will love the food. We will make sure of that! But you also have to be willing to try new things and allow your palate to adjust.
Q. Am I going to have to workout a ton?
A. You need to exercise, yes. I ask that you commit to at least 20 minutes a day. Walking is acceptable too.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. I charge $100 or 350 nis per session. That also includes 24/7 email support between sessions and access to a private Facebook group for no extra charge. A 4 month program is 8 sessions, so the total for 4 months is $800 or 2800 nis, but there is a big discount I will explain in the intro session. Payment can be made via paypal, check, credit card or direct bank deposit.
Additionally, I do have a conditional 30-day cancellation policy so you should not let the fear of financial commitment stop you.
Q. How do I know which program is right for me?
A. Go to this page for instructions.
Q. How do I book a session?
A. Go to this page for instructions.
Q. I have more questions, can you call me?
A. No, I won’t call you to answer questions. You can book a session and ask your questions then, just like any other doctor or therapist. That said, if there is a question you REALLY need answered before booking, email it to me at Emily@TriumphWellness.com and I will answer via email.
